We're excited to be working on the behalf of a highly regarded, well-established business, seeking a new Part-time Finance Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing day-to-day financial transactions, undertaking a range of duties such as:
* Processing and issuing customer invoices / credit notes
* Credit control
* Dealing with customer invoice queries
* Maintaining price lists and customer data in Sage
* Processing authorised supplier invoices, preparing and processing supplier payment runs, dealing with supplier queries
* Ensuring all bank and cash transactions are recorded promptly, including current accounts, petty cash, credit card, etc
* Bank, credit card and cash account reconciliations
* Working with stock, recording stock movement and duties calculations
* Maintaining Fixed Asset register
* Running monthly depreciation
* VAT returns
* General ad hoc support to Finance Manager and wider team as needed
The company are ideally looking for someone to work circa 20 hours a week, either 4 hours per day over 5 days, or 5 hours per day over 4 days. You will need previous finance experience, and ideally have studied some AAT, but the company can consider those with strong experience without qualification. Ideally, you will have strong IT experience in Sage and Excel
