Job Description Private Client Solicitor (Wills, Probate, Trusts) - NQ - Surrey A well-established firm in Surrey is seeking a newly qualified solicitor to join its leading private client team. The Firm They are a full service firm, recognised in The Legal 500, with multiple offices in the Surrey area and have over 100 staff. They have a range of clients including small and medium sized business in the local area as well as medium and high net worth individuals. They have attracted a number of City trained lawyers who have been impressed by the quality of work and the excellent culture. The Role The successful NQ can look forward to working with a talented team who offer expert advice on wills, probate, estate planning and trusts. Key Responsibilities Provide advice to clients on private client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, and powers of attorney Manage a caseload under supervision Prepare legal documents, such as wills, lasting powers of attorney, and trust deeds Assist clients with estate planning, including inheritance tax planning and advising on the creation and management of trusts. Support the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate or letters of administration, dealing with HMRC for inheritance tax matters, and distributing estate assets. The Requirements The firm are flexible and keen to see applications from those who will be completing their training contract in September as well as those who have recently qualified via the CILEX route or SQE. The key thing is to be able to demonstrate a keen interest in private client work, be able to commute to the Surrey office 3 days a week and have at least a 6 month seat in private client.
