Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd, is a British family-run, award-winning digital thermometer manufacturer, producing digital and infrared thermometers for food service and industry together with dataloggers, moisture meters, humidity, and pH meters.
The Role
As a Stores Team Leader you will ensure smooth operations in our Instrumentation Stores. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee processing of the goods and managing and training personnel. You will be a key liaison between internal departments, collaborating with Purchasing, Sales and Production team, as well as externally with suppliers.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Ensure the efficient quality checking and processing of goods, promptly addressing any reject notes and returns with the Quality Department.
* Maintain precise stock records by booking and transferring stock onto the computer system, collaborating on stock checks with the Stores Inventory Controller.
* Ensure that stores personnel are aware of correct procedures, and all activities are carried out in a safe manner.
* Effective communication with Purchasing Team to confirm deliveries and to decide on effective allocation of goods.
* Take the lead in training and managing the Stores Personnel.
The Person
The ideal candidate for the role must be well organised and display effective time and people management skills to maintain motivation within the team. Experience in quality control checking/testing would be an advantage.
This role would suit an individual who is computer literate, has attention to detail, and is now looking to take on additional responsibilities. A team player with a pro-active approach will succeed in this role.
In addition to this, we are looking for individual who is self-motivated and can work under their own initiative with minimum supervision. Needs excellent communication skills to be able to communicate both on the telephone and face to face.
The role would suit an individual who is extremely IT literate, has previously worked in a Store environment, and has experience of managing team and is able to resolve problems.
