Job Role

The overall aim is to provide a comprehensive Personal Wellbeing (PWB) programme of activities in four key areas to enable participants to make sustained changes to their life style including associates linked to causes of offending, to enable successful reintegration into local communities with positive role models, encouraging changes to core values and beliefs on the Impact of offending behaviour, and to enable those being released from prison to be socially included in their local communities. Activities to build and maintain positive family and personal relationships and own person wellbeing will be provided by our supply chain. We aim to make the journey through all four categories a seamless and joined up experience. Ultimately, we will address barriers, develop resilience and perseverance to cope with challenges and barriers faced both pre-release and in the community.The Personal Wellbeing Manager will take a lead role in the strategic development, coordination and delivery of the service embedding new delivery models and supporting the development of related contracts and partnerships to ensure successful meeting of contractual requirements and participants outcomes. To ensure a cohesive joined up approached to delivery is maintained with our supply chain partners delivering on the two other categories of our Personal Wellbeing offer

Location: You must be based in either Kent or Cheshire. Occasional travel will be required to attend meetings across both areas.
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

8. Substantial operational experience delivering contracts across one or more sites
9. Significant experience as an operational manager within a probation, justice, or similar environment
10. Recent experience working within the Justice sector
11. Strong leadership capability, with effective decision making skills
12. Excellent communication and negotiation skillsProven experience in risk management and safeguarding
13. Experience of partnership working and managing a range of stakeholder relationships
14. Demonstrable ability to support staff development and build effective, high performing teams
15. Experience in performance management and driving continuous improvement
16. Ability to embed quality practice across service delivery
17. Experience of evaluating outcomes to inform and improve practice
18. Ability to work flexibly in line with the requirements of the role

Skills and Experience

19. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
20. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
21. Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
22. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
23. Demonstrated ability to use initiative, work independently, and proactively seek solutions to problems
24. Experience undertaking face to face client meetings, including working with senior staff, information professionals, and management
25. A strong team player with the ability to use influencing strategies to gain commitment and drive outcomes
26. High levels of initiative, motivation, and resilience
27. Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for internal and external meetings, as required
