Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Business Analyst
to join an IT & Digital Services team in an educational institution. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and developing digital solutions that align with our clients business strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to support project and product teams by analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the delivery of solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable plans, ensuring that both project and product delivery meet the strategic goals of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Process Analysis:
Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes and systems to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
* Documentation:
Create detailed process maps, flowcharts, and other documentation to illustrate current and future state processes.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to capture business requirements interactively.
* Requirements Gathering:
Document both high-level and detailed business requirements, ensuring they are aligned with the needs of the business.
* Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between business teams and IT departments to ensure smooth collaboration and effective communication.
* Support Testing and Implementation:
Provide support for the testing and implementation of new systems and processes.
* Continuous Improvement:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and make adjustments as necessary to improve business operations.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
* Significant experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on CRM, ERP, or other IT systems.
* Proven track record in analysing business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Experience in facilitating workshops and documenting business requirements.
* Familiarity with business analysis tools and methodologies.
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both IT and business teams.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of industry best practices for business analysis.
* Ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language.
