Job Title: School Administrator (Temporary)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Administrator to join a friendly primary school in Northwich on a temporary basis until the end of the summer term. The successful candidate must have prior school-based administrative experience and be confident working in a fast-paced educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide efficient administrative support to the school office
* Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff
* Manage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
* Maintain accurate pupil records and school databases (e.g. SIMS or equivalent)
* Handle attendance records and reporting procedures
* Support admissions, leavers, and general pupil administration
* Assist with safeguarding processes, ensuring compliance with policies
* Manage correspondence, including letters, newsletters, and reports
* Support senior leadership team with ad hoc administrative tasks
* Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards at all times
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience working in a school office environment (essential)
* Strong knowledge of school systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or similar
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures in education settings
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience in a primary school setting
* Experience supporting attendance and pupil data management
* Knowledge of school policies and procedures
