Care Home Manager – York
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (flexible hours to meet the needs of the home)

Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for high-quality, person-centred care? We’re looking for a dedicated Care Home Manager to take the reins of a beautiful, small residential care home in York.
This is a family-run care home with over 30 years of history, a loyal staff team, and a heart-warming “home away from home” atmosphere. From our stunning back garden to regular mid-week visits from a pianist, we create a comforting environment where both residents and staff feel truly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care
Inspire, support and develop the team, building a positive, stable staff culture
Oversee care planning, audits, medication, and compliance with CQC regulations
Work closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care
Take responsibility for health and safety, safeguarding, and risk management
Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment, and team development
Ensure the home maintains its warm, welcoming environment and excellent local reputation
Uphold the values of a family-run, person-first service
About You:
Experienced in managing or leading within a residential or nursing care setting
NVQ Level 3 or above (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
Strong understanding of CQC standards and a passion for quality care
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Warm, approachable, and hands-on in your approach to management
Able to adapt working hours to meet the needs of the home
