To succeed in this role, you should have: Construction site experience (essential) – fencing/landscaping is ideal, but our client is open to related sectors such as groundworks or civil engineeringHNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (preferred), but they will also consider proven experience without formal qualificationsStrong communication skills and confidence working with clients, suppliers, and colleaguesCommercial awareness and some procurement knowledgeGood IT literacy – training will be provided in Bluebeam, Eque2, and EvaluateStable career history (2–3 years tenure minimum with previous employers)A driving licence (preferred, required for occasional site visits)Ideally, candidates will be within a 30-minute commute Please note- our client is not seeking senior-level applicants with 20+ years' experience – this role suits early to mid-career professionals with ambition and a growth mindset.What will your role look like?As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be primarily office-based, with occasional site visits (around once a month). Your day-to-day duties will include: Supporting the Contracts Manager on commercial and site activitiesPreparing tenders, managing drawings, procurement, and cost reviewsMonitoring compliance with contracts and driving value from the supply chainPreparing documentation such as contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and reportsTracking changes to design/construction work and adjusting budgets accordinglyProcuring services of contractors and subcontractorsMeasuring, valuing, and billing site workLiaising with clients, suppliers, site managers, engineers, and project managersSourcing construction materials What can you expect in return?
