Location: Newcastle hybrid 3 days in the office
Salary: £34,000 plus up to 10% annual bonus
Contract: Full time/permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

As a Senior Personal Injury Handler, you will support the Personal Injury department in its objective of effectively managing OIC/MOJ/Fast track Personal injury claims. Your technical expertise will play a key role in developing departmental processes, training, and implementing change to keep the Personal Injury Team at the forefront of the evolving personal injury landscape.
What will I be doing?
* Managing claims up to £25k across all areas of Personal Injury in line with claim handling procedures and service levels
* Serving as a technical expert to help shape the team's strategy
* Conducting departmental audits to ensure best practices
* Providing coaching and training to colleagues to maintain high technical standards
* Supporting the team leader in change projects for continuous improvement
* Collaborating with internal claims teams such as Credit Hire and counter fraud to ensure correct management and risk mitigation
What do I need?
* Thorough knowledge of insurance principles
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Personal Injury claims
* Deep understanding of the motor insurance claims market and experience using this knowledge to improve efficiencies
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Stakeholder management skills and ability to influence
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail in Management Information (MI)
* Good presentation skills
