Registered Children’s Home Manager
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Are you a compassionate and experienced leader passionate about transforming the lives of children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead our well-established children’s home in the heart of Oxford.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be at the forefront of providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and delivering exceptional care that empowers young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all operational aspects of the children’s home, maintaining high-quality care and safeguarding practices.
* Lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated team of staff to achieve their full potential.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Ofsted inspections and safeguarding policies.
* Manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are utilised efficiently.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities and families.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the home remains a positive and therapeutic environment for young people.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager or in a similar leadership role within a children’s residential setting.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and a track record of achieving good or outstanding inspection outcomes.
* Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people.
