Pastoral Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Flint) Pay: £13.50-£15.50 per hour (DOE)Contract: Long-term temporary We are seeking a committed and compassionate Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Flint. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people's wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in learning. About the Role You will work closely with pastoral leads and teaching staff to provide targeted support to students who require additional guidance throughout the school day. This role involves working both with small groups and on a 1:1 basis, helping pupils to re-engage, regulate, and succeed in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group pastoral support to students who need additional guidance.Monitor and support students in corridors and communal areas, ensuring calm and safe movement around school.Offering encouragement and building positive relationships.Supporting pupils who have been removed from lessons to continue their learning and reset effectively.Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure consistent behaviour expectations and pupil support.Build trusting, professional relationships with students to help remove barriers to learning.
