A large national UK Charity has an excellent opportunity within its in-house legal team for a mid-level to senior (5+ PQE) lawyer to be in the property litigation team. The role can be performedpletely remotely (with the opportunity for office attendance if preferred). 4 or 5 day working week. My client is looking to appoint a mid-senior level property litigator (minimum 5 years pqe +) to advise upon and manage property law disputes arising out of/in connection with the Charity‘s operational & investment property. Key to this role is the collaborative working with the surveyors and projects team in advance of new projects. This is a really interesting and unique property litigation role, often you will be dealing with unregistered land and historical titles.
You will:
1. Provide legal advice on property law disputes across the Charity’s operational estate ( title, trespass, boundary disputes, rights & easements, restrictive covenants, rights of support and claims for nuisance).
2. Have conduct of property law disputes with adjoining landowners, occupiers & other third parties (with assistance, as required).
3. Advice on the Charity’s rights & duties in respect of land under the Charity’s historic legislation and the enforcement of the Charity’s other modern statutory powers.
4. Liaising with external solicitors & Counsel to facilitate effective & efficient conduct of those property litigation matters being handled externally.
5. Drafting letters before action, claims, witness statements, applications & other court documents, &piling court bundles for issue at court and service on Defendants (again, with assistance of the more senior lawyers as and when required).
6. Working with the Charity’s litigators in relation to property law claims for third party loss.

You should be able to quickly gain credibility and buy in from stakeholders at all levels across a multidisciplinary organisation.
