The firm is looking to strengthen its Family Department in Huddersfield by appointing an experienced Solicitor with 5+ years PQE to manage a varied caseload including divorce, private children matters, non‑molestation orders and financial relief cases.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied caseload including divorce, private children matters, non‑molestation orders and financial relief cases
* Handle files independently, including taking over ongoing matters
* Attend court for directions hearings, first appointments and FDRs
* Draft legal documentation and liaise effectively with clients and third parties
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, including Legal Aid Agency rules and the Solicitors Act
* Support and supervise junior colleagues, including conducting file reviews
Person Specification
* Qualified Family Solicitor with 5+ years PQE (or equivalent experience)
* Strong experience handling a broad range of family law matters including divorce, children, financial disputes and domestic abuse
* Experience with TOLATA matters is advantageous
* Excellent client care skills and strong drafting ability
* Confident working with legal aid procedures and billing requirements
* Ability to supervise junior fee earners and meet LAA supervisor criteria
* Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to business development is desirable
