I'm currently working with a well-regarded boutique engineering consultancy based in Leven, and they're looking to bring a Structural Technician into their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technician with at least 2 years of experience who's looking to work on varied and interesting projects across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
About the Company
The consultancy is small but highly respected, delivering projects ranging from residential extensions and conversions to new build homes and light commercial/industrial units. Most projects involve buildings of 2-3 storeys, and they take a tailored, detail-driven approach to every job.
Due to continued project demand, they're looking for someone who is technically capable and familiar with working in a collaborative consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparing technical drawings using AutoCAD (2D)
2. Supporting engineers with design calculations and technical documentation using Tedds and MasterSeries
3. Contributing to the production of high-quality design packages
4. Liaising with engineers, architects, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
5. Optional involvement in 3D modelling for candidates with Revit experience
Requirements
6. 2+ years of experience in a structural/civil technician role
7. An HND or equivalent qualification in civil/structural engineering
8. Strong AutoCAD skills (essential)
9. Experience with Tedds and/or MasterSeries is advantageous
10. Revit or other 3D modelling skills are a definite bonus
11. Strong communication skills and attention to detail
