Job Type: Full-time
Job Purpose: To research, design, develop, manufacture, and test equipment s. Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling all project elements. This is a responsible and highly versatile role at the heart of our operational process.
Main Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary contact for the client, involving them in contract execution and managing their expectations during contract fulfillment.
* Determine client and project specifications, objectives, schedules, and responsibilities by reviewing client documentation and identifying customer requirements, conferring with the management team.
* Manage suppliers and contractors to maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
* Maintain financial diligence through budget execution and cost control to meet projected profitability targets and business results.
* Evaluate systems and products by designing and conducting testing programs and studying customer requirements.
* Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
* Prepare data by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information for installation, testing, quality, packing, and weekly reports.
* Support sales with technical analysis of enquiries, evaluating major enquiries, preparing technical offers, analyzing project specifications, and designing technical solutions.
* Always comply with company policies, procedures, and instructions, working with the management team to implement these within your team.
* Be involved in a range of work to enable the department to respond effectively to the requirements of the company.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the directors or senior management team.
Key Skill Requirements:
* Degree/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (HND must be accompanied by relevant work experience). Alternative qualifications may be considered.
* Experience in a technical role.
* Experience in project planning and cost control.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong knowledge of CAD modeling and drawings with experience in design development (experience with Solidworks is a plus).
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes including machining and fabrication.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
* Team player with the ability to work independently.
* Commercially aware with the ability to negotiate costs.
* Ability to meet targets and deadlines.
* Comfortable and capable of client management during meetings and testing.
* UK Full Driving Licence.
