Grounds Maintenance Operative Location: Bedford Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour PAYE Hours: 37 hours per week Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00am start About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Tree Watering Van Driver to support the maintenance of newly planted trees across the local area. This is a practical outdoor role combining driving duties with environmental and grounds maintenance work. You will be responsible for travelling between locations in a company van and ensuring newly planted trees receive the watering and care they need to establish healthy growth. This role would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable driving for extended periods, and takes pride in helping maintain local green spaces. What You'll Do • Drive a company van to designated locations • Water newly planted trees using the equipment provided • Complete daily routes efficiently and safely • Carry out basic vehicle checks • Record completed work where required • Report any damaged or unhealthy trees • Follow health and safety procedures at all times What We're Looking For • Full UK driving licence • Confident and competent van driver • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions • Ability to work independently and manage a daily route • Good attention to detail • Reliable and punctual approach Who Might Suit This Role This role may suit candidates with experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi Drop Driver, Grounds Maintenance Operative, Environmental Operative, Gardener, Landscape Operative, Parks Operative, Street Scene Operative, Estate Operative, Caretaker, or General Operative.
