We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The Truck Driver will primarily operate flatbed vehicles, ensuring that all loads are secured and delivered on time.

HGV Class 1 Driver
Contract: Permanent
Overtime: Enhanced rate
Location: M90 5UX
Salary: £37,596 base per year
Shift: Mon-Fri, 50hrs/wk, Days

Main duties/ responsibilities
* Operating commercial vehicles
* Load and unload goods
* Manual work
* Making sure loads are safely secured
* Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary
* Carrying out basic routine maintenance
* Completing delivery paperwork, PDA, Walk around check or any documentation
* Following the compliance, tacho master and other regulations and laws that are applicable
Technical Skills:
* A valid HGV and CPC license
* Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
* Ability to operate HGVs safely and efficiently
* Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
* Familiarity with GPS systems and other tracking devices
The successful candidate will:
* Be flexible and reliable
* Minimum 1 years experience of driving Class 1 vehicles
* Have great communication skills
* Be able to provide clean basic Criminal Record Check prior to start date (obtained within 26 weeks)
* Provide a full 5-year checkable history
* Hold a Clean Driving Licence (If the position requires it)
* Hold valid DQC and up to date CPC
