Salary to be confirmed upon appointment 12 month secondment Full time, 37 hours with flexibility for part -time Lincoln or Huntingdon office – Hybrid working Anglian Water offers a flexible approach; this role provides you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your base location will either be in Lincoln or Huntingdon. Bridging business needs and technical solutions to drive successful projects and process improvements The Business Analyst will support the successful delivery of projects by accurately capturing and managing business and technical requirements. This role involves collating, analysing, validating, and documenting business, technical, organisational, and operational requirements. The Business Analyst will work closely with a wide range of business stakeholders to define business needs and capture requirements. Acting as a key facilitator within projects, the role bridges the gap between end users, stakeholders, and the solution team. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into a technical format that developers, programmers, and third parties can understand, and supporting user acceptance testing through scenario development, test script preparation, and test delivery. What will you be doing? The Business Analyst captures, analyses, and documents business and technical requirements, translating them into clear user stories and specifications for development teams. They work closely with stakeholders to define needs, resolve conflicts, and ensure solutions align with business goals and processes. The role supports projects throughout their lifecycle, including design, testing, UAT, deployment, and ongoing service improvement. They also identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve how the business works. Key Skills and Attributes: Analytical & Process Focused: Ability to capture and define requirements, assess data, map processes, and implement improvements. Project & IT Experience: Experience in cross-process working, IT projects, IT applications, and infrastructure; knowledge of SAP and outsourced IT environments is a plus. Communication & Stakeholder Skills: Excellent questioning, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to translate complex requirements into actionable specifications. Organised & Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise, work on own initiative, and persevere to deliver outcomes. Adaptable & Forward-Thinking: Demonstrates flexibility, proactive approach, innovative problem-solving, and ability to challenge constructively. Professional Qualifications & Knowledge: BCS qualification, understanding of legal implications of data management and best practices.
