This is an exciting opportunity to shape and evolve the marketing function, introducing new ideas, campaigns and approaches that support the company’s continued growth.
As Head of Marketing, you will lead the marketing strategy for Futures and ensuring marketing plays a central role in supporting company growth across our specialist sectors. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery and includes the management and development of the Marketing Executive.
You will work closely with the Managing Director and sector leaders, the role will drive marketing initiatives that strengthen Futures’ reputation as a trusted specialist partner, attract high-quality candidates, generate client opportunities and support the commercial success of the recruitment teams. You will sit on the Management team, involved in monthly steering group strategy sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy, Leadership & Budget Management-
* Develop and lead the company’s marketing strategy aligned with the business growth plan.
* Position Futures as a trusted sector specialist across its core markets including public services, health, education, manufacturing and consumer goods.
* Line manage and develop the Marketing Executive and ensure continuous growth and development of the marketing function.
* Develop and manage the marketing budget and identify and prioritise marketing investment across campaigns, digital channels and sector initiatives.
Sector Marketing & Thought Leadership-
* Develop sector-focused marketing strategies that highlight Futures’ expertise and impact within key industries.
* Create campaigns and content that demonstrate market insight and industry credibility.
* Support consultants in building visibility within their specialist sectors.
Business Development Support and Talent Engagement-
* Support consultants with marketing tools and content that help them engage prospective clients.
* Develop marketing campaigns that attract business development conversations, client partnerships and high-quality candidates across the company’s specialist markets.
* Strengthen Futures’ employer brand and reputation within the talent communities it serves.
* Optimise digital channels to drive candidate engagement and applications.
Digital Marketing, Online Presence & Brand Development-
* Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of the Futures website.
* Ensure strong SEO performance and visibility within relevant sector markets.
* Manage digital marketing activity including social media, email campaigns and targeted advertising.
* Lead the creation of high-quality content including thought leadership articles, case studies, insights and sector updates.
Experience/Skills Required:
* A minimum of 6 years Marketing experience working in a variety of sectors.
* Experience of team management as well as developing and growing teams.
* Proven track record of ensuring marketing supports revenue growth and business development in a professional services environment.
* Ability to translate industry trends and challenges into marketing campaigns.
* Builds strong relationships across the business and supports teams.
* Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
* Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to bring new ideas to the table and take these ideas to life, along with a pro-active and autonomous working style.
