Job Description Talent Engagement Specialist (Employee Relations & Support) Location: Durham, NC Salary Range: $50,000–$55,000 Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite Reports To: On-Site Manager Posi tion Overview: The Talent Engagement Specialist is the central contact for our field associates once they are onboarded. This role blends employee relations, performance support, communication, and engagement to ensure every employee feels seen, supported, and successful in their assignment. This position works closely with the On-Site Manager and supervisors to carry out day-to-day employee support, documentation, and performance communication. It is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, coaching, and creating a positive employee experience while managing a high volume of interactions. You will handle employee relations duties; such as corrective actions, check-ins, documentation, coaching and performance follow-ups. Key Responsibilities: Employee Engagement & Support Serve as the main point of contact for associates, managing ongoing communication and documenting all interactions in Tracker CRM. Conduct scheduled check-ins to monitor satisfaction, track development, and recognize milestones (anniversaries, performance excellence, attendance achievements). Proactively identify concerns or barriers affecting employee success and work with supervisors and leadership to resolve issues. Performance & Corrective Action Support Review performance data provided by client supervisors to prepare coaching discussions with employees. Issue corrective actions following established procedures and templates, ensuring clarity, consistency, and proper documentation. Provide follow-up support, check progress against expectations, and update the On-Site Manager on status. Onboarding & Training Support Assist with new hire orientation by facilitating onboarding steps, reviewing expectations, and ensuring employees are prepared for their roles. Support delivery of annual co-employment training and team lead/supervisor refreshers by preparing materials and co-presenting with leadership. Help ensure team leads and supervisors understand basic HR processes, communication expectations, and engagement principles. Engagement Programming & Retention Coordinate employee appreciation initiatives, recognition events, and morale-boosting activities in collaboration with the On-Site Manager. Track engagement trends through check-ins, surveys, conversations, and Zoho ticket feedback to help identify retention opportunities. Support redeployment efforts by assessing employee strengths, work style, and performance history to match them to future assignments when appropriate. Operational Communication & Documentation Manage the Zoho ticketing system and shared support inbox, ensuring timely and professional responses. Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of employee conversations, escalations, performance updates, corrective actions, and development plans. Communicate updates to supervisors, client partners, and internal teams as needed to ensure a consistent employee experience. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 2–4 years of experience in employee support, staffing, employee engagement, call center leadership, case management, or HR coordination. Experience issuing corrective actions, coaching employees, or supporting performance processes. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse employee populations. High attention to detail and strong time-management skills; able to manage many employee interactions simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or ticketing systems preferred (Tracker, Zoho). Experience in call centers, compliance-focused environments, staffing agencies, or high-volume employee support is a plus.
