Class Teaching Assistant - Temporary for one year
Catherine Infant School are looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a key stage 1 class and EYFS class initially for one year with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Start date: 20.08.2026
Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday term time, plus five inset days
Grade: Level 2 point 5-6. Salary £17,901.98 - £18,186.08 depending upon experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our key stage 1 or EYFS team.
Desirable
1. Experience of Read Write Inc (RWI)
2. Ability to deliver Better Reading and Writing Partners (BRWP) Training will be provided.
3. May be required to undertake lunchtime supervision duties.
The successful candidate must:

5. A willingness to learn and apply new skills
6. Have a minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent
7. Show energy, motivation and flexibility
8. Show good initiative and be a team player
9. Have a good command of the English language
10. Have experience as a teaching assistant in partnership with a class teacher
11. Be flexible and adaptable to the teacher and class needs
12. Have excellent behaviour management skills
