Job Description:
Job Summary Coordinate and oversee the daily hygiene operations on the PM shift, ensuring all cleaning schedules are completed to the required company, customer, and regulatory standards. Support the Hygiene Manager by maintaining high levels of compliance, efficiency, and team performance within a safe and hygienic production environment.
Duties:
Allocate and monitor daily and weekly hygiene tasks to ensure all areas of the site are cleaned in accordance with agreed schedules and standards
Supervise and guide the hygiene team, ensuring that all operatives understand their responsibilities and work safely and effectively
Conduct and document routine hygiene and housekeeping inspections, escalating non conformances to the Hygiene Manager
Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations, including COSHH and PPE requirements
Maintain and control stock levels of cleaning materials, equipment, and PPE to ensure adequate availability for operational needs
Train and coach hygiene operatives in correct cleaning procedures, safe chemical handling, and site hygiene standards
Monitor and verify completion of cleaning records and ensure traceability of all hygiene documentation
Support investigations following audits, customer complaints, or contamination incidents by providing accurate records and information
Assist the Hygiene Manager with continuous improvement projects relating to hygiene standards, efficiency, and cost control
Provide shift cover for the Hygiene Manager during absence or as required.
Experience:
Significant experience in a hygiene or cleaning supervisory role within food manufacturing or a similar regulated environment
Experience supporting audits or inspections
