Join to apply for the P&O Specialist role at Depaul Ireland. This specialist HR role reports to the People Partner and provides expertise on recruitment, employee relations, and administrative duties.
Location: Central Office, 449 Antrim Road, Belfast.
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
Salary: £31,438.17.
Working arrangement: Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle – from job descriptions, advertising, sourcing, screening, and interviewing to reference checks, job offers, and onboarding.
* Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data in the HRIS system BambooHR.
* Ensure all recruitment activities comply with legal requirements and company policies.
* Track and report on key hiring metrics and collaborate with the employer‑branding team.
* Provide advice, guidance, and coaching to managers on workplace and HR issues, including grievance, disciplinary, and conflict‑resolution processes.
* Support the People Partner with investigation, grievance, and disciplinary meetings, and produce necessary documentation.
* Process new hires, exits, probation, leave, and status changes in BambooHR and Softworks.
* Maintain HR data accuracy, support the monthly payroll process, and prepare HR data for management reports.
* Contribute to digital‑transformation projects related to HR.
* Support the cross‑border L&D team – administer mandatory training, maintain attendance, and record training in the Depaul LMS.
* Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* 3rd level qualification in HR, Business, or a related field (essential).
* CIPD qualification (desirable).
* Minimum 2–3 years experience in an HR generalist role.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong time‑management, negotiation, influencing, and people‑management skills.
* Analytical and numerical aptitude.
* Experience working within a team.
* Proficiency with HRIS systems, Excel, and HR analytics tools.
* Deep knowledge of the full recruitment cycle and employee‑relations issues.
* Understanding of NI employment law, grievance and disciplinary procedures, and basic compensation analysis.
