My client is seeking a capable and self-motivated GSE Technician to join their workshop team at London Heathrow Airport on a night shift, 4 on / 4 off rota. This role would suit an experienced engineer who is comfortable working independently and supporting critical overnight airside operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring powered Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is maintained and serviceable to support the following days flight operations.
GSE Technician Responsibilities:
* Carry out inspection, maintenance and repair of powered GSE during overnight operations
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults and complete repairs efficiently
* Perform safety checks, inspections and brake tests in line with company procedures
* Accurately complete job cards and inspection reports using electronic systems/tablets
* Escalate defects, VOR equipment or parts requirements to the Workshop Supervisor
* Work safely and independently within a safety-critical airside environment
* Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations, Safe Systems of Work and ISO standards
GSE Technician Requirements:
1. Previous experience maintaining vehicles, plant machinery or Ground Support Equipment
