We are searching for an experienced Accounting, Insight & Advisory Assistant Manager.
Make an Impact at RSM UK
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Accounting, Insight & Advisory (AIA) team. In this role, you will be a key member of the growing Finance Function Support national team, focusing on private businesses within the Northern region. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the wider team and assist managers in effectively delivering work across a portfolio of SME corporate clients, focusing on annual compliance, relationship building, and solving day-to-day issues clients face. This includes the practical application of accounting standards under FRS 102 and FRS 105 across various industries and specialist areas.
The department's fast growth offers opportunities to develop skills such as business development and coaching junior staff. It also provides a chance to expand your internal network and collaborate with colleagues and service lines across the UK, as well as supporting your local office.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Supporting managers to deliver a premium service and quality end product to clients
* Managing a portfolio of clients, including client care responsibilities, project management, and WIP/billing management
* Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key contact
* Leading/supervising assignments as required
* Training and developing junior team members, offering support and constructive feedback
What we are looking for:
We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate will have:
* ACA qualification or equivalent
* UK GAAP experience – FRS 102 and FRS 105
* Experience in a professional practice, ideally in an accounting advisory team
* A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements
* Experience working with clients
* Supervision experience of junior staff
* Experience with CCH Accounts Production is desirable but not essential
What we can offer you:
Our benefits include:
* Hybrid and flexible working
* 26 days holiday (additional purchase options available)
* Wellbeing benefits including financial tools, electric car scheme, and virtual GP access
* Access to 300+ courses on demand for development
