Roadside Mechanic - Coventry

2. Salary: £50,668 basic | OTE up to £54,000
3. Hours: Average 40 hours per week (flexible shift pattern)
4. Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting for a Roadside Mechanic to join a nationally recognised roadside assistance organisation. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working in a customer-facing environment where no two days are the same.

As a Roadside Mechanic, you will attend breakdowns and vehicle faults at the roadside, providing expert diagnostics, repairs and customer support. You’ll work independently, managing your own workload while delivering a high standard of service.
The successful Roadside Mechanic will average 40 hours per week across the year and have shift times between 06:00 and 02:00. The position may include early starts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays and the rota will be provided in advance, with flexibility required.
Key responsibilities as a Roadside Mechanic will include:
5. Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults at the roadside
6. Carrying out mechanical, electrical and diagnostic repairs
7. Supporting customers calmly and professionally in all situations
8. Managing your own van stock, tools and diagnostic equipment
9. Completing job reports accurately using provided systems
10. Representing the business with professionalism at all times
What We’re Looking For from the Roadside Mechanic
11. Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
12. Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic experience
13. Full UK driving licence
14. Customer-focused approach
15. Flexible attitude to working hours and occasional overnight stays
16. Confident working independently in a fast-paced environment
