A DAY IN THE LIFE OF FINANCE ASSISTANT AT THE COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT – LUTON AIRPORT What you'll be doing We are looking for someone to work alongside the Cluster Financial Controller and Heads of Department to develop the overall business strategy and ensure effective control procedures are in place. The successful candidate would have good attention to detail, analytical and reporting skills, and having some knowledge of financial and operating systems and procedures would be beneficial. This role is based at our Luton Hotel with travel to our Cambridge West Hotel once a week/fortnight. In your role you will be doing the following tasks, predominately for our Cambridge Hotel. · Income audit, including daily banking, credit cards & revenue reconciliations. · Processing supplier invoices, including Brand affiliate invoice & supplier payment runs. · Petty cash reclaims. · Control of accounts receivable and recording receipts · Balance sheet reconciliations for some control accounts · Assist other departments, wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel. · Supporting with internal and external audit requests. · Ad-hoc duties as requested by CFC or management.
