This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a genuine passion for engaging with residents, to join our team as an Engagement Officer. Working closely with the Engagement Team, you'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing an inclusive activity programme across our sheltered housing communities. Working closely with our Housing Team and residents, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering a diverse and inclusive programme of activities and events that foster social interaction, wellbeing, and community connection. Your work will be shaped by the needs and aspirations of our residents, with a strong focus on co-creation and collaboration. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering a range of engagement activities, some delivered by external facilitators, and for building meaningful relationships with customers and local partners. You’ll bring empathy and understanding to your work, recognising the barriers some customers may face in participating, and ensuring activities are accessible and inclusive. As the key contributor to our activity programme, the post holder will actively seek, cultivate, and nurture partnerships, both internally and externally to create opportunities that make a positive social impact. You’ll be confident working across multiple locations, managing external contributors, and engaging with customers from diverse backgrounds. We are seeking a creative and goal-oriented individual who excels in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment. The successful candidate will not only bring substantial experience in crafting activity programmes but will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Moreover, they should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, while being committed to our values and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of our residents. This is a hybrid role, with visits to our sheltered housing schemes required one to two days per week for face-to-face engagement and events. About you You’re a creative and compassionate individual with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older people and those living in sheltered housing. You have experience working with vulnerable populations and understand the importance of inclusive, person-centred engagement. You’re an excellent communicator both written and verbal and confident liaising with internal teams, customers, and external partners. You’ve successfully coordinated and delivered engaging activities and events that bring people together and promote wellbeing. You’re highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities across different sites. You’re confident managing external facilitators and volunteers, and you thrive in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment. You’ll proficiency in event planning, coupled with the knack for efficiently coordinating and prioritising tasks, ensures the seamless execution of our activity programme across all locations.
