Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently supporting a business based in Central Bristol, who are looking for a Interim Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is initially for a period of 3 months - With a possibility of extension.
Role: Senior Accounts Assistant
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Central Bristol
Duration: 3 Months
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Working pattern: This position can either be 4 or 5 days a week - 3 days a week in the office, 2 from home
The purpose of this role is to take accountability for the ledgers and transactions for two of the companies within the group.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain both purchase and sales ledgers: invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and credit control
2. Manage banking and bank reconciliations
3. Resolve queries
4. Accurately recognise and record sales invoices
5. Basic reporting & variance analysis and resolve discrepancies
Preferred Skills & Experience:
6. Hands-on experience using an accounting software - Xero is desirable
7. Proven experience in a similar role
8. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities
