Salary: £73,709 to £91,354 per annum + Benefits

Job Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity to lead high‑impact change initiatives across a complex organisation. As the Senior Transformation Project Manager you’ll ensure that each initiative aligns with strategic priorities and delivers measurable outcomes. You will develop and embed a consistent project governance framework across the University, work closely with senior sponsors to shape business cases, define benefits, and support informed decision‑making.
As a key change leader you will guide teams and stakeholders through new systems, processes, and organisational shifts, building strong relationships across academic and professional services areas as well as with external partners. You will also mentor and support project staff, encouraging best practice, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Duties
* Lead Transformation Programmes: Deliver large‑scale organisational change and strategic initiatives
* Project Governance: Develop and embed consistent project and programme management frameworks
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders and partners to shape business cases and priorities
* Benefits Realisation: Define, track and ensure delivery of measurable outcomes
* Change Leadership: Support teams through system, process and cultural transformation
* Risk Management: Identify, assess and mitigate risks across complex programmes
* Reporting and Analysis: Produce high‑quality reports, insights and documentation for decision‑making
* Team Development: Mentor project staff and promote collaboration and continuous improvement
* Process Improvement: Drive best practice across project delivery and operational workflows
Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Degree or equivalent professional experience
* Professional qualification in project, programme or change management
* Proven experience delivering large‑scale transformation in complex or public sector environments
* Strong knowledge of project management, programme delivery and change management methodologies
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Experience developing business cases and governance frameworks
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and manage risk
* Digital proficiency including MS Office 365 and project management tools
Desirable
* Experience working within higher education or similar complex organisations
* Background in organisational change or digital transformation programmes
* Knowledge of continuous improvement or process optimisation approaches
