Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Hearing Impairment (BSL Qualified)

Contract: Full-time or 4 days per week

We’re working with a fantastic secondary school in Teesside looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a hearing-impaired student 1:1. If you're BSL-qualified, compassionate, and ready to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s learning journey, this role is calling your name.
The role:
1. Provide tailored, 1:1 support for a hearing-impaired student in a mainstream secondary setting
2. Use British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication and learning
3. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and families to support the student’s progress
4. Help create an inclusive and accessible classroom environment
What we’re looking for:
5. British Sign Language (BSL) qualification (minimum Level 2)
6. Experience supporting students with hearing impairments
7. Someone who can commit to 4 or 5 days per week
8. Calm, patient, and reliable—you’ll be a key part of this student’s day
