Strategic Account Lead
We are supporting a high-growth consulting and technology-led organisation at a pivotal stage of expansion within its retail and consumer practice.
With an established client base that includes some of the most recognisable brands in the sector, the business is now investing in senior commercial talent to deepen strategic relationships, unlock new opportunities, and drive sustained revenue growth across key accounts.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role suited to individuals who combine strategic account leadership with a strong commercial instinct and the ability to operate credibly at senior levels.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic retail and consumer clients, with full responsibility for developing account strategy, expanding relationships, and delivering measurable revenue growth.
This role goes beyond traditional account management — it requires a proactive, opportunity-led approach, blending relationship development, consultative sales, and solution alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts within the retail and consumer sector
* Develop and execute clear account growth strategies
* Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite
* Identify client challenges and align solutions across technology, data, and transformation services
* Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across a broad service offering
* Support proposition development and pre-sales activity
* Create and maintain structured account plans with a focus on long-term value creation
What we are looking for:
* Demonstrated success in strategic account management within retail and consumer environments
* Strong track record of revenue growth within existing accounts
* Experience combining account development (“farming”) with opportunity creation (“hunting”)
* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at senior and executive levels
* Commercially astute with a value-led, consultative approach to sales
* Experience working with or selling solutions across technology, data, or digital transformation
* A strong understanding of the retail landscape is essential, including areas such as supply chain, store operations, customer engagement, and emerging technologies.
Location: UK (London / Oxford preferred) | Hybrid (2–3 days client-facing)
Salary £80,000–£110,000 base + car allowance + commission + benefits
