About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our dedicated team at a secondary school in Walsall. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their musical skills and creativity, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
Role Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially at Key Stage 5.
* Develop and implement a broad and balanced music curriculum that meets national standards and encourages student participation.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and reports.
* Encourage students to participate in performances and competitions to enhance their confidence and skills.
* Manage musical resources and maintain instruments and equipment.
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support cross-curricular learning opportunities.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Music education.
* Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and/or vocal expertise.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Passion for inspiring students and promoting music education.
* Ability to motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
* Experience organising and directing musical performances is highly desirable.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
