We are seeking a passionate and innovative Art Teacher (with Qualified Teacher Status) to join a specialist SEN school in Tonbridge. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact on the lives of young people with a range of additional needs.

This well‑established SEN school supports students with a variety of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and mild to moderate learning difficulties. The Role
As the school's Art Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging, differentiated Art lessons to secondary‑aged students with SEN
Plan creative projects that build students' confidence and artistic skills
Adapt teaching methods to meet a wide range of learning needs and communication styles
Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to ensure personalised progress
Foster a classroom environment that is safe, calm, and encourages self‑expression
Support wider school activities, enrichment programmes, and cross‑curricular art projects
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
Experience teaching Art at KS3/KS4 (SEN experience highly desirable)
A creative, flexible, and trauma‑informed teaching approach
Strong behaviour-management skills rooted in empathy and positive relationships
A passion for supporting young people with diverse needs
Ability to adapt curriculum content to meet individual learner profiles
