Teaching Assistant - Complex Learning Needs (SEND Schools) Tradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to work in specialist schools supporting children with complex learning needs. These roles are available on both a long-term and day-to-day basis and involve supporting pupils who require a high level of care, structure, and individualised support. The role will involve: Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex learning needs Supporting children with ASD, PMLD, SLD, SEMH, and additional needs Assisting with personal care, moving and handling, and daily routines where required Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and positive behaviour strategies Working closely with teachers and multi-disciplinary teams The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working in SEND or specialist education settings Experience supporting children with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour A calm, patient, and resilient approach Relevant training such as Team Teach, Moving & Handling, Personal Care, Trauma-Informed Practice, Tracheostomy care, or similar (highly desirable) Why work with Tradewind Recruitment?
