Role Overview: As an Art and Design Teacher, you will deliver dynamic lessons that encourage pupils to explore a wide range of artistic techniques and mediums. You will inspire students to develop their creativity, refine their practical skills, and gain confidence in self-expression. As an Art and Design Teacher, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver exciting Art and Design lessons across Key Stages. Encourage pupils to experiment with different techniques, materials, and styles. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom and studio environment. Collaborate with colleagues to support the wider creative curriculum and school exhibitions. Promote safeguarding and pupil welfare at all times. Requirements for Art and Design Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Art and Design at secondary level. Strong subject knowledge of artistic techniques, design principles, and curriculum requirements. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
