About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns – allowing flexible working to fit around your lifestyle. Weekend working is a requirement, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern. Our in‑store Pharmacies are popular with customers, who expect warmth and friendliness and the ability to discuss personal health issues confidently. You will quickly resolve customer problems and direct them to the right products.
You will be responsible for accurately assembling and processing prescriptions, collecting the customer’s prescription from their doctor’s surgery and bringing it to the store ready for collection. You will also drive awareness of all the extra services we offer in Pharmacy (for example, Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews). Supporting the Pharmacist, you will contribute to delivering and keeping effective patient service records (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes, etc.) and will work in accordance with strict Standard Operating Procedures.
We will support your development: you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within six months, then train as a Dispensing Assistant, completing your pharmacy training. Each step will bring added value to our service and advance your career.

You're naturally friendly, highly organized, and eager to work with your team to deliver great results. You have good computer skills, attention to detail, and communicate well with customers. You love problem solving, are passionate about helping people, and care about providing customers with a great healthcare experience.
