The role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stainless Steel Polisher to join one of our clients based in Bolton on a temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and well established Engineering business during a peak period. The successful candidate will be responsible for grinding, polishing and finishing stainless steel handrails, balustrades and tubular fabrications to a high standard, ensuring all products meet customer and quality requirements. Hours. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00. Pay £14.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience. Weekend overtime may also be available and is paid at enhanced overtime rates. Stainless Steel Polisher Duties will include. * Grinding and polishing stainless steel handrails, balustrades and tubular fabrications to the required finish standard. * Operating grinders, pipe polishers (tube belt sanders) and polishing equipment safely and efficiently. * Removing weld marks and surface imperfections to achieve a consistent, high quality finish. * Inspecting completed products to ensure quality standards are met. * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment. * Adhering to all health and safety standards and company procedures at all times. * Supporting the wider team as required in the role of Stainless Steel Polisher. Stainless Steel Polisher Requirements. * Previous experience working as a Stainless Steel Polisher within a manufacturing or fabrication environment. * Experience using grinders, pipe polishers and other polishing equipment. * Ability to interpret drawings and finish specifications would be advantageous. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality finishes. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within a workshop environment.
