We are now hiring a Diary Technical Lead to join our UK Insurance Software team as part of a new delivery team for a major customer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in leading the technical direction of our Diary platform, a core application for process and workflow management used across the London insurance market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical leadership for the delivery, enhancement and support of the DXC Diary platform
2. Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer engagements relating to Diary
3. Translate customer requirements and functional specifications into scalable, high-quality technical solutions
4. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers and testers to drive successful delivery
5. Lead code reviews, solution design sessions and technical planning meetings
6. Ensure delivery aligns with DXC and client architectural standards, security requirements and performance expectations
7. Identify and drive technical improvements, enhancements and modernisation opportunities
8. Provide guidance and mentoring to other developers within the team
Required Skills & Experience
9. Proven experience in a senior or lead technical role, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector
10. Strong background in software engineering and solution design, ideally with exposure to workflow or scheduling platforms
11. Understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration (e.g. APIs, web services)
12. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
13. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills – able to interact confidently with technical and business teams
14. Experience working in structured delivery environments (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models)
15. Ability to lead by example and take ownership of delivery outcomes
Desirable
16. Familiarity with DXC’s Diary product or similar workflow/scheduling systems used in the London insurance market
17. Experience with mainframe or midrange platforms (e.g. AS/400, IBM i)
18. Knowledge of DXC core insurance applications (e.g. Global Re, Brokasure, Assure)
