G2 Energy (G2E) are high voltage electrical and civil engineers who are a NERS accredited Independent Connect Provider (ICP) capable of providing Contestable Works up to kV, as well as National Grid -kV.
The Electrical Site Construction Supervisor will have a strong technical electrical background in LV & HV with the supporting qualifications. The role supports the Project Manager in delivering and supervising electrical works on G2E projects.
Main Duties include:
* Drawings & Specifications: Familiarize yourself and comply with project drawings & specifications, e.g., DNO, G81. Liaise with G2E designers as applicable.
* Supervise electrical works on site including: Installation of wiring and accessories, electrical installations of LV & HV, mechanical fitting and assembly of HV switchgear, installation of ancillary equipment (meters, relays, protection equipment), earthing for substations, ducting, cabling, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
* Communication: Liaise effectively with G2E colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Programme of Works: Provide updates to the Project Manager on completed works to support schedule updates.
* Street Works: Ensure street works comply with Sect 50 of NRSWA Act.
* NJUG: Follow NJUG guidelines.
* Sub-Contractors/Suppliers: Manage subcontractor/supplier processes, scope of works, T&Cs, and RAMS.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 5+ years in electrical industry installing LV/HV, including switchgear, transformers, substations.
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of electrical standards, processes, and procedures.
* Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation (CDM, HSE guidance).
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
* Experience with electrical works up to kV (preferred).
* Knowledge of DNO G81, Sect 50, SAP, and DNO authorizations (LV & HV).
Qualifications:
* City & Guilds 18th Edition wiring regulations
* Full Driving Licence
* Emergency First Aid
* SMSTS
* Part P Scope (Defined and Full)
* City & Guilds Level 2 Dip in Electrical Installations
* C&G Periodic Inspection & Electrical Testing
* Street Works NSWRA Supervisor
* Fire Warden
