Company Overview
We are currently recruiting for experienced Pipelayer Operatives to join our team on the HS2 high‑speed rail project in the Banbury area. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long‑term work on one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Laying and joining various types of pipework (e.g. drainage, ducting, water mains).
* Trenching, backfilling, and ensuring correct gradients and alignment.
* Working to engineering drawings and method statements.
* Ensuring pipe bedding and surrounds are installed to specification.
* Collaborating closely with Groundworkers, Plant Operators, and Supervisors.
* Maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout all operations.
Requirements
* Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred)
* Proven experience in pipelaying within a civil engineering or infrastructure environment.
* Strong understanding of drainage systems and utility installation practices.
* Ability to work in confined spaces or deep excavations when required.
* Full UK Driving Licence – essential due to site access limitations.
Desirable
* Confined Spaces training or certification
* Dumper/Roller or other CPCS/NPORS plant tickets
* Previous experience working on HS2 or large‑scale infrastructure projects
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as required by the project.
