- Bridgwater, UKAbout the RoleThe OpportunityThe Hinkley Point C (HPC) Site Fire Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the HPC Construction project, remains fully compliant with all UK fire legislation, EDF/HPC requirements and nuclear site licence conditions through the implementation of a fire safety management system that includes strategies, standards and procedures.

Reporting directly to the Head of Site Risk Management & Control of Work, the HPC Fire Safety Manager will be considered the 'Competent Person' as defined in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and will manage the Fire Safety Team.

Because success is personal.What You'll Be DoingThe HPC Project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe.

The project marks the rebirth of the UK's nuclear industry and will present invaluable opportunities for Somerset, the Southwest and wider UK.

The Project requires the expertise and support of many contractor organisations to deliver the project safely, to the right quality, on schedule and within budget.The Fire Safety Team manages Fire Safety for the HPC Construction Site and audits and assures Fire Safety standards are met and maintained throughout the project.

The team work closely with the construction and delivery teams as well as the site contractors.

The HPC Site Fire Safety Manager will work within the HPC Principal Contractor team and engage with and establish working relationships as a minimum with the Programme Construction Delivery Leads, Programme Managers and the Tier 1 fire managers / advisors which enables high performance in the control of all programme fire safety risks.The HPC Site Fire Safety Manager will provide the Principal Contractor advice, guidance, and standards to support activities which focus on establishing, promoting, maintaining, and continually improving the Fire Safety management arrangements and culture across the HPC Project.The HPC Site Fire Safety Manager will manage the team of Lead Fire Safety Advisors and Fire Safety Advisors and establish and maintain the programme meetings, forums and engagements which plan, manage, monitor, coordinate and review HPC fire safety.

The Fire Safety Manager will set KPIs to monitor team performance, set standards to demonstrate continual improvement in fire safety across the site and develop and schedule assurance audits and inspections for the Fire Safety Team.Principal Accountabilities Include:
