Overview
*** Source Inspector - Bristol Area ***
In response to a number of escapes, the customer wishes to implement an independent inspection, with the following being required:
Responsibilities
* Visually inspect castings at the customer facility, focusing on specific set of part numbers as provided by the customer.
* Inspect each part based upon a defined set of characteristics.
* Document all inspection activity via a Customer-provided Inspection Record.
* Document any non-conformities and raise them to an appropriate customer point of contact.
* Provide bi-weekly detailed report on inspection findings.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace / defence manufacturing environment, specifically within inspection-based roles.
* Hands-on visual inspection experience, including the use of magnifiers and other inspection aids.
* Experience of castings is highly advantageous.
* Proficiency with mechanical inspection equipment (should dimensional verification be required).
* Knowledge of containment processes and procedures.
* Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to prioritise workload to meet business needs.
The role is inside IR35.
