You will play a pivotal role in shaping the business development strategies and revenue growth of our client. The role: Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve and exceed profitable sales targets, with a focus on expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. Lead and inspire the van-sales and distribution teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success. Utilise your expertise in creating detailed reports to analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences. Use this data-driven approach to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential clients. Leverage this information to develop targeted sales strategies. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service to ensure their satisfaction. Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective promotional campaigns and initiatives that support business development efforts. Proven track record of success in sales and business development ideally within the fresh food industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience managing a van sales team preferred but not a deal breaker Proficient in creating detailed reports and utilising computer skills to analyse sales data and market trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients and stakeholders. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset. A passion for the baked goods industry and an understanding of the market and customer preferences.
