Overview

The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire. In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, a range of services are offered to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.

This post offers opportunities at a time of development within the service. As a Community Support Co-ordinator you will play a key role in the delivery of community services. You will be responsible for the management of care staff and the delivery of care services, in line with Supporting Your Independence across South Lanarkshire Council. You will supervise a team of Home Carers and should demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. You will also have responsibility for managing and organising the care for service users.


Responsibilities

* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team assessing service users\' needs in respect of care referrals and monitoring and reviewing care within agreed timescales.
* Manage and organise the care for service users and lead a team of Home Carers.
* Demonstrate excellent IT skills, be dynamic and creative, with the ability to resolve problems as they arise.


Qualifications and requirements

* Essential that the applicant has a qualification demonstrating their ability to undertake the post and fully meet the SSSC Registration Requirements.
* Application must gain full SSSC registration within 6 months of commencing the post.

* Salary: £40,804 - £41,698
