The post holder defines and manages the inspection and compliance requirements of all mechanical equipment in INEOS Inovyn NW Operations, ensuring legal, SHE, and business obligations are met.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
* Recognised authority in inspection matters and defines the processes and documentation requirements for inspection of all pressure equipment.
* Act as a key representative on behalf of INEOS Inovyn in competent authority interventions, providing support to the businesses in relation to HSE and EA requirements.
* Provide support to the manufacturing areas and projects on technical queries and in the process of RBI completion and Scheme of Examination development.
* Lead the asset integrity management process ensuring delivery of all business requirements for reporting of compliance, asset condition, and ageing.
* Lead the roll-out and implementation of new inspection standards, such as internal guidance IGGN-30, throughout INOVYN North West Operations, and support third-party businesses if required. Introduce the newly defined company software package to support this.
Qualifications and experience:
* A chartered Mechanical Engineer or holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 10+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
* A minimum of five years managing pressure equipment with responsibility for inspections.
* Expert knowledge of legislation including PER, PSSR, and PSR, with ongoing maintenance as requirements evolve.
* Strong engineering skills in inspections and RBI.
* Experience with NDT methods and their application in the chemical industry.
* Understanding of budgets and their control.
* Strong leadership, influencing, and coaching skills.
* Good analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking abilities.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Initiative, tenacity, and concern for impact.
