The Role
We are seeking a Financial Accounts Manager (ACCA Qualified) to oversee financial operations, manage reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to ensure compliance with UK financial and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and oversee financial statements, management accounts, and budgets.
* Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and compliance with accounting standards.
* Ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation across multiple sites.
* Manage and mentor accounting staff.
* Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, health & safety, and company policies.
* Assist in the financial planning of new store openings and operational expansions.
Essential Requirements
* ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a financial management or accounting role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, KPIs, and operational efficiency.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work checks will be conducted).
Desirable
* Experience in multi-site retail accounting.
* Professional qualification in Finance or Business Administration.
* Exposure to ERP or financial management systems in retail.
