Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, YTL Construction is seeking a skilled M&E Estimator to join our dynamic Estimating team.

What you’ll do
As an M&E Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive mechanical and/or electrical engineering estimates across a variety of construction projects.
You’ll play a key role in supporting both in-house delivery teams and external partners, ensuring robust cost assurance and governance throughout the pre-construction phase.
Your key responsibilities include:
* developing detailed mechanical and electrical estimates from tender documentation, drawings and specifications
* collaborating with designers, project managers, clients and suppliers to gather and validate project information
* leading negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
* providing technical input to support efficient design and value engineering
* assisting the Commercial team with variations, applications, and final account processes
* maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the estimating lifecycle.
What you’ll need
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical and or electrical engineering and estimating.
You’ll have:
* mechanical and/or electrical qualifications, with mechanical and/or electrical installation or project delivery experience
* excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and construction processes
* proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software
* a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
It would also be very advantageous for you to have:
* a background in water and wastewater projects
* experience in related sectors such as food manufacturing, process engineering, and oil and gas.
