We have a great opportunity for a Project Planner to support major renewable EPC projects across the UK. We design, install, commission, and operate large-scale solar PV farms and BESS projects for our clients. Supplying renewable energy from solar power plants enables local communities to reduce costs and their carbon footprint.
Alongside our solar farm projects, we are involved in delivering a wide range of energy solutions to secure a more sustainable future.
Please note that when working away from home, you will be provided with hotel accommodation and additional expenses. The postholder will also have access to a company vehicle.
Key activities
1. Produce programmes, phasing and logistics plans, methodologies, and delivery strategies at tender stage and during construction
2. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Software
3. Produce the project preliminaries book at tender stage and monitor the same during construction with the project team
4. Assist in the production and submission of tenders for various clients under the direction of the Construction Director
5. Undertake plant, delivery, and resourcing analysis
6. Produce commissioning programmes / O&M programmes
7. Proactively engage with internal and external designers, the supply chain, and project teams to agree and manage delivery plans
8. Actively keep pace with industry innovations to bring about added value to bids and delivery
9. Develop a database of construction outputs for use by the company
10. Support the project team in delivering the plan
11. Use a variety of presentation techniques, mediums, and forums to communicate the delivery plan
12. Arrange and lead meetings to present, discuss, monitor, and review the plan
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
1. Relevant industry experience in civil infrastructure or building services projects
2. A minimum of HNC/HND in relevant discipline
3. Experience in using Primavera
4. Familiarity with planning activities within construction projects, especially relating to NEC3 (and upcoming NEC4) suite of contracts
5. First-class communication skills – both written and verbal – able to relate to colleagues and clients
6. Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project) and database experience
