We have a phenomenal opportunity for a Lead Procurement Manager to join a successful team, to help lead and develop various elements of the Property category including developing the strategy for Mechanical and Electrical (M&E), in partnership with property, distribution, and retail colleagues.
We're looking for an expert procurement manager who will work closely with senior colleagues within the business to create, build, and develop category plans aligned with Tesco’s key objectives.
* Deliver high savings targets through robust sourcing events, ensuring suppliers meet operational requirements while providing value for Tesco.
* Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues to support, endorse, and deliver plans aligned with category procurement strategies to achieve savings and support innovation.
* Develop and execute procurement strategies that support Tesco’s business objectives and meet Save To Invest targets.
* Collaborate with partners to write and implement the procurement category plan for M&E.
* Supervise and report on savings targets for specified sub-categories using the established process.
* Lead supplier reviews and act as the point of contact for contract-related issues.
* Build positive relationships with customers and procurement teams across other business areas and subsidiaries, such as Booker and Tesco CE, to drive efficiencies and savings.
* Assess existing and potential new suppliers for sustainability, minimizing risk, and optimizing service delivery.
* Procurement expertise, preferably with experience leading GSNFR categories.
* Strong leadership skills to lead and mentor a team of Procurement Managers, including overseas colleagues.
* Experience in developing talent and enhancing team capabilities.
* Proficiency in procurement management, contract negotiation, and leading large sourcing events worth millions.
* Ability to innovate and bring new ideas to life, gaining support from senior colleagues.
* Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, fostering innovation across categories.
